Online Live Classes on Zoom

We have a Zoom Pro account and can teach up to 100 people at a time. Our studio has the capability to offer a 2-camera set up, giving students an overhead view as well as a face to face view. Our goal is to ensure that everyone gets a great learning experience! Scroll down to learn how it works.

Our flat teaching fees are as follows, from 1 - 100 participants including tech moderators* (not provided):

Within business hours (10am-6pm) $100 for a 60 minute class. Actual Zoom time is 75 minutes to allow for any technical adjustments needed, latecomers, end of class Q&A, etc.
Outside of business hours (before 10am EST or after 6pm EST): $200 for a 60 minute class. Actual Zoom time is 75 minutes to allow for any technical adjustments needed, latecomers, end of class Q&A, etc.

*Most organizations/ groups elect to have a moderator from their group on hand to monitor chat questions, mute and unmute participants at appropriate times, etc. Teaching any sort of hands-on tie-dye renders the instructor unable to touch the screen or keys during the class, due to dye & glove issues.

About Materials:

We can only teach classes to groups using Fiber Reactive Dyes, either ours or sourced independently. We are happy to give recommendations for brands, amounts, and purchasing links.

The easiest solution is to purchase kits through us! We can create kits for groups for ice dyeing, low water immersion dyeing, tie dyeing, and shibori [batik kits coming in 2022].

Our kits come with a choice of 24+ colors, bandanas or t-shirts, and can be customized for the needs of your group (e.g., company brand colors; a virtual baby shower activity with onesies, etc). We ship internationally.

No classes are taught for, or with, RIT dyes, acid dyes, or any other kind of dye product. If you are providing your own materials, it’s essential that they be the kinds of dyes & auxiliary chemicals that our instructors have experience with. Fiber reactive dyes only!

Bulk Kit Pricing

Some group classes taught through Zoom are eligible for bulk kit pricing. Currently (Spring 2021) we cannot offer discounted pricing due to increased costs on our end— some kit components are not able to be sourced due to COVID-related shipping complications.

Kits pricing is exclusive of shipping rates. We invoice you for actual shipping charges and use USPS bulk rates.

Ice dye basic kit, one color per student (can be different for each student!). No dyeable item is provided. Option to add on additional colors.

Included: fiber reactive dye powders, soda ash activator, 2-sided patterns handout, rubber bands, washout instructions.

Retail is $24 for this kit with one color.

$26 ice dye kit

with bandana

Same as basic kit but with 1 organic cotton bandana, sewn locally and pre-washed.

Retail is $38 for this kit with one color.

Tie dye bottle kit, two bottles per student (can be different colors for each student!). No dyeable item is provided.

Included: fiber reactive dye powders, soda ash activator, two 8 oz. squeeze bottles with lids and caps, 2-sided patterns handout, rubber bands, latex-free gloves, washout instructions.

We don’t market this option for retail at this time.

$30 tie dye kit

With t-shirt

Same as above but with 100% cotton t-shirt, pre washed, in any size (newborn through Adult 3X). With enough time we can provide options like long sleeves, v-neck, Polo style, etc.
